Artist Reception: Jean Crocker

We’re thrilled to welcome Jean Crocker as our next featured artist at Glädje, beginning February 1, with a special artist opening on Friday, February 13 from 4:30–8:00 PM.

Jean’s work is rooted in traditional watercolor methods, layered with acrylics and unexpected materials like rice paper, tissue, gesso, and gel medium. Her paintings range from realistic to abstract, always holding onto a sense of place, emotion, and humanity. With a background in commercial art, drafting, and technical illustration—and years of study under nationally known watercolor artists—Jean brings both precision and play to her work.

This opening is designed to feel like a gentle pause in winter and a warm lead-in to Valentine’s weekend. Think chocolate, wine, coffee, light snacks, soft conversation, and art that invites you to slow down and feel alive!
