SUMMARY:Mindful Mark Making
DESCRIPTION:Students will learn about mindfulness practices through guided deep breathing and visualization exercises. Then students will paint whatever visualization shows up for them. There is no expectation for students to create with any level of technical skill. Results might be messy. They might be simple. All approaches are valid. The point is to approach the exercises with a sense of compassion and gentleness for oneself. The overall goal is to facilitate a space that is open and welcoming for all people to practice mindfulness and art at the same time. \nPlease note that materials are student provided.
